Broken sun

Beginning of the Story The story begins in 2012. The player character is a child affected by the ongoing conflicts of Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo. They are not famous. They are not a legend. They are not a chosen person. They are one of thousands of lives caught inside a conflict created by forces much larger than themselves. Their story begins at the bottom of the world. --- Starting Background: Child Soldier The player character begins as a young survivor who has been taken into an armed group during the instability of the region. Their early life has been shaped by: - Conflict - Loss - Displacement - Survival - Fear - Separation from normal life They are not defined only by what happened to them. The story focuses on who they become afterward. --- Starting Condition At the beginning: The player has: - Limited resources - Limited knowledge of the world - Limited trust from others - Basic survival experience - No major reputation The player does not begin as an elite fighter or important figure. They must learn, adapt, and grow. --- The First Chapter: Survival The opening focuses on survival and human connection. The player must navigate: - A dangerous environment - Unstable alliances - Adults with competing motives - A world where trust is difficult Early choices shape their future: - Who they trust - Who they fear - What values they keep - What kind of person they become --- The Escape / Change Event The player's life changes through an event that removes them from their previous situation. Possible events: - A conflict forces them to flee - A humanitarian organization finds them - A soldier chooses to protect them - A journalist discovers their story - A contractor becomes involved - A family member or friend helps them escape The event should be natural and based on the world's simulation. The player does not receive special treatment. --- New Life System After leaving the conflict environment, the player enters an unfamiliar world. They must learn: - How normal people live - How to trust others - How to make choices without orders - How to build relationships - How to discover their own identity The greatest challenge is not survival. It is learning how to live. --- Growth Path The player's journey is not about becoming the strongest person. It is about becoming their own person. Possible futures include: - Protector - Soldier - Medic - Mechanic - Investigator - Leader - Business owner - Civilian - Mentor to others Their past influences them, but it does not decide their entire future. --- Found Family Beginning The player eventually encounters people who become important in their life. They may find: - A mentor - A protector - A friend - A teammate - A rival - A new family These relationships develop slowly. Nobody instantly trusts the player. Trust must be earned. --- Main Character Rule The player's past is important. But the world does not stop because of it. Other people have their own stories. Other survivors exist. Other children are affected by conflict. Other people are fighting their own battles. The player's journey matters because of the choices they make, not because the universe chose them. --- Broken Sun Beginning Principle The story does not begin with a hero. It begins with a survivor. The world does not ask: "Why is this person special?" The world asks: "What will this person choose to become?"
