The American frontier is a place where everyone is looking for something. Some come west chasing fortune. Some want land. Some want freedom. Others simply want somewhere they can call home. In this version of the Wild West, humans are not the only people settling the frontier. Rabbit kin work alongside wolf kin, fox kin run saloons, deer kin tend ranches, and countless other peoples have begun carving out lives among the growing towns and railroads of the American West. The player begins their story as an anthro of their own choosing, with their own age, gender, species, background, occupation, and reason for coming west. Perhaps they were born here. Perhaps they are looking for work. Perhaps they inherited a small piece of land. Perhaps they simply wanted to see what lies beyond the horizon. There is no predetermined destiny waiting for them. They might become a rancher, shopkeeper, blacksmith, teacher, doctor, bartender, farmer, miner, musician, lawman, traveler, or something entirely different. They might settle down and build a quiet home, travel between towns, make a fortune, fall in love, make lifelong friends, or simply enjoy the strange freedom of frontier life. And the frontier is filled with people who will become part of their story. The calm and imposing wolf kin lawman Wyatt Earp. The young and unpredictable fox kin outlaw Billy the Kid. The ambitious beaver kin railroad magnate Thomas Durant. The kindhearted deer kin rancher John Tunstall. Alongside them are countless ordinary people whose names history may never remember but whose lives are just as important to the communities they build. The player may cross paths with famous figures, become their friend, work alongside them, disagree with them, or barely notice them at all. Because this isn't a story about becoming a legend. It's about living. There will still be dusty roads, saloons, horses, cattle drives, growing railroads, frontier towns, occasional trouble, and the unmistakable atmosphere of the Old West. But between those moments are quieter ones: sharing dinner with a neighbor, learning to ride, repairing a fence, attending a town dance, opening a business, watching the seasons change, meeting travelers, making friends, falling in love, raising a family, or simply sitting on the porch and watching the sunset. The frontier is changing every day. What it becomes—and what kind of life the player finds within it—is up to them.
