The World of Kharos: The Endless Dump

(updated) Kharos is a massive 3× Earth-sized planet turned into a layered dumping ground for lost civilizations and fallen people. Its surface is made of endless junk oceans, machine mountains, toxic fog zones, and buried ancient ruins, all constantly reshaped by falling debris from a hidden sky civilization. Above the clouds, a moving utopia called the Pure State believes it is maintaining perfection by throwing away “imperfect” people—who actually survive the fall and build new societies below. The world is split into unstable survival layers, filled with scavengers, factions, mutated creatures, and relic technology that no one fully understands. Every object, ruin, and survivor carries fragments of a deeper truth about why the dumping never stops.
